Do you really want to learn how to get pregnant with a boy naturally without IVF or artificial gender selection?
I am here to give you the good news that it is possible. Thanks to Dr shettles method.
WHAT IS Shettles Method
Shettles method was developed by Dr Landrum Shettles in 1960. He came up with the idea that couples can sway for a specific gender just timing sexual intercourse to favour a particular kind of sperm. And also by choosing the right position.
His method has 75%-95% success rate. Here is the book he published in 1971 after his findings: How to choose the sex of your baby.
The Shettles theory states that a man ejaculates two types of sperm. Y-carrying chromosome sperm and X-carrying chromosome sperm.
If the Y sperm fertilises the egg first a boy is conceived and If an X sperm fertilises the egg first a baby girl is conceived.
In his research, he found out that the male sperm is faster but more fragile. While the female sperm is slower but more stronger.
4 TOP TIPS TO CONCEIVE A BOY NATURALLY
There are 8 Factors that you need to put into consideration if you want to have a boy. And they are:
1. TIMING INTERCOURSE
Based on the knowledge that the male sperm swims faster but dies quicker. Dr Shettles recommend you have sex as close to ovulation as possible.
The idea is that you want the egg to be released and waiting for the first sperm to penetrate and fertilise it.
Because the Y(male) sperm swims faster, it will have the opportunity to reach the egg first.
To be able to have sex on the day of ovulation, you need a means of determining when you ovulate right.
There are various ways in which you can pin-point ovulation and they are:
- Ovulation Predictor Kit to detect LH surge
- Monitoring your cervical mucus
- Basal Body Temperature
- Learning your own ovulation signs and symptoms
The best and the most accurate way is to make use of an ovulation test kit to detect when you have a surge in luteinizing hormone.
A sharp increase in the luteinising hormone is what triggers ovulation. So when your LH is at its highest ovulation is about to occurs.
The best way to detect this is to use an ovulation kit to test your urine early in the morning and in the evening around 5-6pm.
You should also keep track of your menstrual cycle monthly by using ovulation calendars and ovulation calculators.
This tools will enable you to know when you are approaching your fertile window. So you need to start testing everyday for ovulation from atleast 5 days before you think you will ovulate.
If you miss your ovulation date this month, wait and try again next month. You need to get a positive ovulation test before you have sex.
You are more likely to conceive a girl if you have sex 3-5 days before ovulation. So wait!
2. INTERCOURSE POSITION
The position you adopted during sexual intercourse can also affect the gender of your baby.
Dr Shettles theory suggest that, a shallow penetration position favours the conception of a girl. While a deep penetration position favours the conception of a boy
Shallow penetration positions means the sperm would be deposited far away from the cervix.
The cervix is the neck of the womb. And it connect the vagina to the uterus(womb).
The male sperm if deposited away from the neck of the womb, will have a difficult time surviving the acidic nature of the vagina. They thrive in an alkaline environment.
But if the sperm is deposited as close to the cervix as possible, the male sperm will have the opportunity to escape the acidic nature of the vagina. And they will be able to swim faster to reach the egg first.
In order to favour the conception of a boy, you should eat more of alkaline forming foods and foods high in potassium.
Beware that consuming too much potassium can be detrimental to your health. So consume in moderation.
You should also eat or drink less of calcium and magnesium foods as they sway for girls.
Examples of alkaline foods are: Kale, spinach, brussels sprout, broccoli and avocado.
You should also consume foods that are rich in potassium such as baked potatoes, bananas and dark leafy greens.
4. Avoid ejaculation 3-4 days before Intercourse
The Dad-to-be should try as much as possible not to ejaculate around 4-5 days before ovulation.
You can have protected intercourse 6 days before ovulation. But 4-5 days before ovulation NO EJACULATION!.
This is because you want to boost the sperm count. Studies has shown that higher sperm count helps with boy conception.
And ejaculating too often reduces sperm count.
5. Alkaline Cervical Mucus
The woman should have an orgasm first to make her cervical mucus more alkaline. The Y sperm loves an thrive in an alkaline environment.
If a woman's cervical mucus is too acidic, it may kill of the Y sperm before the even try to swim.
Luckily, an alkaline cervical mucus is produced during ovulation which is the Egg white cervical mucus. The egg white cervical mucus is slippery and wet.
Keep an eye on your CM during ovulation. If you do not produce enough EWCM, then you need to find a way to increase your CM by taking the fertile CM supplement and making use of Preseed natural lubricant.
